ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Control Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading the Quality team to ensure quality standards and procedures are met and align with legislation and customer specifications. The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all eligible non-conformances are effectively investigated using the Eight Discipline (8D) Problem Solving Process and other relevant tools and techniques. This individual also oversees the root cause analysis process, as well as the
implementation and validation of corrective and preventive actions. Finally, the Quality Control Supervisor helps hire and train new production staff, completes performance reviews, and if necessary, disciplines and terminates employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
● Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training new staff to meet inspection and quality requirements.
● Manage a team of 3-4 quality inspectors and engineers.
● Execute weekly inspection schedules efficiently and on time.
● Schedule inspection resources to execute inspection plans.
● Demonstrate leadership with professionalism, and collaborate with cross functional teams.
● Conduct semi-annual performance reviews of quality/inspection staff; provide training and coaching as necessary.
● Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Develop and maintain IPQC & OQC processes and inspection documentation.
● Monitor compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO, AITF and customer specific requirements.
● Perform root cause analysis, identify corrective actions, and implement resolutions.
● Generate 8D reports, fishbone diagrams, PFMEA, etc.
● Perform regular production fallout investigation.
● Conduct RMA breakdown, fault determination, failure mode and repair initiation.
● Develop and set up tools that are used by facility staff in quality control procedures.
● Actively participate in PDP and NPI to ensure quality requirements are met from the design phase through to the production phase.
● Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing data, including yield rates, defect rates and process variability, to identify areas for improvement and trends.
● Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
● 5+ years of experience in a quality control capacity.
● 3+ years of experience supervising or leading a quality control team, including conflict resolution and people management skills.
● Fluent in English and Mandarin/Chinese, both spoken and written.
● Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
● Strong quality, process and documentation skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with multiple departments.
● Ability to problem solve and conduct root cause analysis.
● Demonstrated understanding of the importance of quality workmanship, standard quality practices, and continuous improvement.
● Solid hands-on technical background with a logical deductive reasoning approach.
● Critical thinker / analytical skills.
● Experience using automated image dimensioning systems.
● Strong work ethic.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multitask.
● Proficient in Google Workspace or MS Office 365, especially using Sheets or Excel.
